Common sense in vacuum heat treatment

1. when the vacuum furnace is dealing with the titanium alloy, it is not suitable to use nitrogen as the cooling gas, because the titanium and nitrogen react at high temperature to form the golden titanium nitride.

2.vacuum furnace active part of all use O rubber ring sealed connection, this part is through water cooling.

3.when the workpiece is quenched in a vacuum, a vacuum quenching oil shall be used, which has a lower saturated vapor pressure.

4.vacuum furnace maintenance should be in the vacuum or pure nitrogen status, to avoid usually do not use when inhaling, moisture absorption.

5.the domestic vacuum furnace pressure rise rate should be no more than 1.33Pa/h, some foreign enterprises standard is 0.67Pa/h

6.vacuum heating mainly radiation, the workpiece should be kept in the furnace spacing.

7.during the heating process, the material in the workpiece and the furnace will deflate and the vacuum will decrease.

8.the heating temperature of vacuum tempering, vacuum annealing, vacuum solid solution treatment and vacuum aging is generally the same as that of conventional treatment.

9.the vacuum tempering furnace should have a quick cooling device. The cooling water pressure should be greater than 0.2Mpa, the flow should be adjustable.

10.cooling gases: Ninety-nine point nine nine five percent purity nitrogen is used in steel, high temperature alloy adopts ninety-nine point nine nine nine percent nitrogen or argon, and titanium alloy adopts ninety-nine point nine nine five percent argon.

11.heating: after putting into the workpiece, generally pre pumping to 6.67Pa before heating up
